Our emotions and perceived “connections” lure us into high-profile cases where someone is murdered or vanishes. We saw this with Laci Peterson, Natalee Holloway, Casey Anthony, and now, Gabby Petito. In the past, we would wait for the news to update us, but now social media like Reddit and TikTok exploded the case of Gabby Petito. With that “explosion” in information, false narratives and flat-out lies spread like truth. Then we go on the attack of the parents. Are we actually “parenting a killer”?
Why do we immediately blame the parents for their adult children’s crappy behavior? At what point do we place the blame where it should be and not on the parenting?
Join in this dialogue. Do you think parents are responsible for their children’s crappy behavior once they are adults? Are we parenting a killer?
