Family Vacation Mishaps are bound to happen. It’s your response to them that sets the tone for the remainder of your time. What happens when you plan this phenomenal family vacation, but then everything seems to keep going south? We set out on a 3-week road trip from Georgia to Montana, down to Colorado, and back to the East coast. Day one seemed great, but little did we know; the rest of the trip would be filled with constant mishaps.
Oxford dictionary describes mishap as “an unlucky accident.” On that trip, we went through 3 major mishaps and a dozen or so small ones. We could have said, “enough is enough; we are just going home”! However, we didn’t let it get to us. To kick off Season 1, Episode 1, Armando and I talk about our Family Vacation Mishaps. Thinking back, those 3 weeks set the tone for the rest of our family vacations for me. I quickly realized I had zero control over what was happening to us. It was just bad luck. The only thing I did have control over was me and my reactions to everything. It wasn’t worth being upset about. “It is what it is.”
